Now they are competing with the Arizona Cardinals for third place in the NFC West, as the 49ers and the Seahawks are head and shoulders above what the Rams are right now. Things are rapidly falling apart for this team and they need to have one heck of a draft in order to turn this thing around, something that is complicated with no first-round picks at their disposal thanks to the trade for CB Jalen Ramsey. Adding Hopkins was already a good move in and of itself but when you consider Arizona only gave up a second-round pick and RB David Johnson, a player whose contract the team was trying to move anyway, that makes the trade even better. The Cardinals are an ascending team with Hopkins and thrilling second-year quarterback Kyler Murray, however, there are plenty of holes to fill in order to complete this rebuild Arizona started. It is amazing the Pittsburgh Steelers even made it to .500 by the end of the year. The biggest reason their season did not end in a total collapse was because of how dominant their defense became after trading for S Minkah Fitzpatrick. This deal for the former Miami Dolphin has left Pittsburgh without a first-round pick, but they have very few needs going into 2020 as long as QB Ben Roethlisberger returns to form. Lamar Jackson is the reigning MVP and he has a strong roster around him. While the Ravens playoff defeat against the Tennessee Titans was a disappointing end to an otherwise promising season, Baltimore is in a great spot to compete for a championship in 2020. It is the start of a new era for the Cincinnati Bengals, one that centers around adding one of the best quarterback prospects of the past decade. Let’s face it, unless the Bengals do something stupid like trade the number one overall pick to the Miami Dolphins, Joe Burrow is going to be a Bengal. But adding a new franchise quarterback is not going to completely fix everything for the team with the worst record in the NFL in 2019. The first pick may be obvious but executing strong picks with the rest of this draft could build a solid foundation for the future in Cincinnati. Remember when the Cleveland Browns were the winners of the 2019 Offseason Bowl? That was probably the most over-hyped team since the 2011 “Dream Team” Eagles. However, this is still a pretty strong roster that could very well shine this season with a new coaching staff led by former Vikings OC Kevin Stefanski.
